100 Happy Days-Week Seven

February 26, 2014

I hope you are not losing the will to love looking  at my daily snapshots for my 100 Happy Days.
I have to confess that what started off like sounding like a  fun idea, is becoming less fun as it progresses.
And I have seen no concrete evidence that I am any happier than I was 49 days ago.
BUT I am nearly halfway through now, and I can be a little stubborn at times, so I WILL finish this thing!

Here we go then, Week 7…

Day 43

Day 48

The boys were pretending to be different animals. SmallSmall: I'm a polar bear Me: What shall I be? SmallSmall: You can be a polar bear too mummy Me: Ah, that's nice, thank you. What are you BigSmall? BigSmall: I'm a Sengi mummy Me: Oh. What's a Sengi? BigSmall: It's a little mouse that lives in the desert and runs around along little tracks under bits of grass and things Me: Oh. Cool. So he already knows a lot more than me about a whole heap of stuff… But it did make me smile!

In case you hadn’t guessed, I am running very short on blog-spiration.
Any suggestions/requests?
What would you like more of? What type of posts are your favourites? What is most useful/empowering/amusing/none of the above…?
Your help please!!

thank you for reminding us about Postman Pat at Longleat, seems like lifetime ago that we took our son (now 20) and daughter there…Pat was his hero and we had to drag him away! Your photo brought a happy smile to my face. Thank you.

    Dear Jen,

I shall share a little story to give you a happy thought for another day (I hope), it certainly made me happy. This last weekend my husband and I visited his cousin in Chichester. As we walked around town on Saturday afternoon, I spotted a ” lost cat” handmade poster pinned to the front gate of a house asking people to look out for Arthur, a big white cat, who had gone missing. Yesterday (Sunday), walking by the same house I noticed a new poster, with a photo of Arthur fast asleep on the sofa, and a note: Arthur is back home safe. It was enough to make me smile for the rest of the day and I hope it gives you a smile to be happy for Arthur! Have a lovely day.

Perhaps just a daily photograph of the sun would suffice …… it always makes everyone happy and we are not seeing enough of it lately …

    • Reply Jen February 27, 2014 at 9:29 am

      Maybe I should do that!

And I’m enjoying the happiness of The Smalls. No children in this household and happy children are a wonder to behold
