I’m sure it won’t have escaped your notice that it was Father’s Day at the weekend.
As ever, I left things a little teeny bit late, and as ever, ended up making an edible gift, as these are generally pretty quick and easy to make, and generally much appreciated.
Especially when said edible gift is a homemade version of Peanut Butter Cups…!
These are the easiest thing ever to whip up, and you may well already have all the ingredients in your cupboards!
I used this recipe here for the peanut butter fudge base layer.
Then I let it set in the fridge, before melting 100g of milk chocolate and allowing that to set.
Whilst it was setting, the Smalls and I had an in depth discussion on the merits of various cookie cutters, and decided in the end on stars. “Because Daddy is a star”. Nice.
The stars were a little on the large side though, so we also did small circles with some of the offcuts, and then just chucked all the offcuts into the tin as well, in true Waste Not, Want Not style…!
Now my only issue is how much of it is it ok for me to eat while hubby is at work…?
